Volunteer Opportunities

For those who are interested in a deeper Auroville experience, and want to explore the practice of karma yoga, Vérité offers volunteer positions in the following domains:


  • Garden/Land Care, Hospitality, Health & Wellness, Kitchen & Café, Maintenance, Human Resources, Marketing, Program Development, Tech Development
  • Residential volunteer positions are based on a commitment of 36 hours per week, for a minimum of 6 months; preference is given to applicants who commit for a full year.
  • Depending on your skills and interests, and Vérité's needs, we will develop agreements regarding your responsibilities and schedule. Tasks can include: technical or administrative assistance, hands-on work (in kitchen, garden, or maintenance departments), attending meetings, teaching Yoga or other classes, providing health-related treatments, research, or developing teaching/training materials for any aspect of the Vérité project.
  • All volunteers register through Savi, Auroville’s volunteer coordination office.
  • Foreign nationals require a special visa; this process can take several weeks, or even a few months to complete.

Fundraising - Support Vérité

Future Infrastructure

  • Retreat facilities- for 16-20 persons
  • Collective housing- for 10-12 Aurovilians/Newcomers
  • Workers' building- new toilet/shower facilities, canteen and dining area, rest and recreation area 

Kitchen/guest house improvements

  • Additional solar water heaters
  • Wood-fired oven for baking, charcoal-making, and drying clothes during monsoon time
  • Indoor and outdoor art, sculpture

Garden improvements

  • Aquaponics and vertical gardening

Integral Learning Center improvements

  • Computer systems upgrade
  • Audio visual equipment upgrade
  • Ergonomic office chairs
